Sandscape – Carapace
This pattern reminded me of a beetle shell or alien armour so in processing I emphasised the roundness and the purple colours

Roses on a Beach
On a wintery evening in October a few years ago I came across these discarded roses on the beach. In the distance a lone figure was staring out to sea. I don’t know if they were really connected but it made for a great image.

About
James Moore – Photographer
I took up photography as a hobby after moving to the North Devon coast. I live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and this inspires me every day. I am out walking locally most days and share the images that I find.
I’m not interested in making money from photography but if you would like a print of any of my photographs shown here or on social media then let me know and I’ll create one for a donation to charity.
If you would like to see more work than is featured here you can find moore2c on Blue Sky Social. I’m active there if you want to talk about art or see what I’m “thinking out loud” about with my photos. I have deleted my Instagram and Facebook photography pages because Meta!

moore2c – A New Beginning
For a couple of years I had my website hosted at WordPress.com, I was already disillusioned with them as a hosting company. Recent changes to the US administration also meant that I decided to decolonise myself from the US wherever possible. As a result I moved my domain to the Swiss hosting company https://www.infomaniak.com/en and I am already impressed with them as a company. Customer support is great and I’ve saved money for a better service compared to WordPress.com.
For now I am going to continue to use the open source WordPress.org as my web site builder.
Somewhere along the way I lost part of my existing web content (all my fault) and I have decided to rebuild my web site from scratch. Starting with this post.
